Job description

We are a growing multi location Obesity & Weight Management practice seeking an experienced Front desk receptionist/Medical Assistant with EMR experience (Athena EMR experience is a bonus) to add to our clinical team in Tysons, Arlington and Fairfax, VA

Responsibilities include:

Greets patients, obtains referral information and indicates their arrival
Registers patients accurately, efficiently and professionally to ensure data integrity and facilitate timely claims processing, as well as, collecting patient liabilities at point of service.
Creates accurate and complete accounts in information system by obtaining and verifying all necessary information.
Applies financial screening guidelines and payer requirements to secure financially collectible patient accounts.
Willing to cross train and do vital signs for patients.
Escorts patients from entrance to dressing or exam rooms, and performs patient appointment confirmations and screenings (Blood Pressure/Weight).
Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
Demonstrates knowledge of customer service concepts.

EMR experience preferred (Athena EMR a plus)
