Professional Nanny / Family Assistant

Overview

This is a confidential search on behalf of a private family relocating to the Arlington, Virginia area. The family is seeking an experienced, professional nanny who will become a long-term extension of their family. The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, proactive, discreet, and passionate about child development while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Children

Two young boys (approximately 2½ years and 1 year old)
Family is expecting a newborn this fall.
Extensive infant experience and experience caring for multiple young children simultaneously is strongly preferred.

Schedule

Primarily Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Guaranteed full-time hours
Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, travel, and schedule adjustments is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Exceptional childcare for infants and toddlers
Plan engaging developmental activities
Encourage learning through play with minimal screen time
Children's laundry
Children's meal preparation and family meal prep
Grocery shopping
Household organization
Light household support related to the children and family
Maintain a safe, nurturing environment

Ideal Candidate

Career nanny seeking a long-term role
Extensive newborn and toddler experience
Comfortable caring for multiple young children
CPR/First Aid preferred
Excellent communicator
Organized, proactive, dependable
Comfortable with travel and schedule flexibility
