Location: Asheville, NC
Job Type: Part Time ( 16 - 26 hours per week) with opportunities to grow
Pay: $23.15 per hour
Schedule: Mornings, Evenings, and Mid-Day 4-8 hr shifts on weekdays and weekends

About the Role
We’re looking for a Salon Coordinator to join our team. The right candidate has the ability to be the host of the salon, welcoming clients, ensuring seamless operations, and creating an elevated experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Responsibilities
Client Experience
- Work directly with the full team to engage with clients and ensure their experience is a positive one. The client having their current salon experience is your biggest priority!
- Greet and welcome clients, using names whenever possible
- Notify stylists when their clients arrive
- Assist clients with retail purchases and provide knowledgeable recommendations on retail products
- Give salon tours and explain time-based pricing structures/retail offers to new clients
- Prepare and serve beverages, ensuring the area stays clean and stocked
- Client checkout and rebooking upon completion of service
- Handle new client intake and appointment bookings via Phorest software
- Maintain a smooth salon flow, assisting with any real-time scheduling adjustments
Appointment Flow
- Awareness of clients throughout their service to ensure quality experience. i..e: beverage refills
- Awareness of appointment timing, ability to problem solve in the moment, seek out available helpers as needed, and offer solutions for any complications
- Notifying stylists of “day-of bookings” as they occur
Scheduling & Communication
- Manage client appointments and ensure accurate booking details
- Monitor and respond to communication through email, Phorest, Google Workplace, and Band
- Answer calls and emails with professionalism and accuracy
- Keep detailed records of bookings, appointment notes, and follow-up details
- Log revisions, pending requests, rescheduled appointments, and booked appointments
- Collaboration with stylists on the floor
Salon Upkeep & Organization
- Ensure the salon is set up and reset properly at the beginning and end of each shift
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas, including reception, retail, shampoo area, bathrooms, and kitchen
- Keep laundry cycling and ensure towels/capes are stocked
- Keep retail shelves organized, stocked, and visually appealing
- Contact appropriate parties for maintenance issues when needed
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality or customer service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with email, text-based platforms, and Google Workplace (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and stay calm under pressure
- High attention to detail, awareness of space, and anticipation of salon needs is required
- A love for team collaboration and creating memorable client experiences
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Starting at $23.15 per hour

Schedule & Time Off
- Required Shifts: Mornings, Evenings, and Mid-Day 4-8 hr shifts on weekdays
- Salon Closures: July 4th, Thanksgiving + day after, Christmas + day after, New Year’s Day
- Time Off Requests: Must be submitted at least 4 weeks in advance

- Quarterly team meetings
- One-on-one meetings with leadership
- Monthly coordinator meeting
