We are seeking someone special to fill a hybrid role of Family Assistant / Household Helper/Nanny. This role will begin in the summer and likely start with part-time hours with preference given to candidates who can grow into more hours in the Fall.
This role is basically an extension of Mom and supports daily home operations including whatever is needed to support the family and help the day run smoothly. This role includes household support, errands, organizing, scheduling/logistical support, and childcare with 2 small children (early elementary and toddler) when needed (consistent weekend availability is a must).
This role works closely with Mom and our weekday family assistant/chef to help maintain a calm, organized, values-centered household.
Candidates must have some regular daytime weekend availability!
This role is ideal for someone warm, grounded, intuitive, organized, and flexible. Someone who enjoys supporting families, and helping a home run smoothly.
Ability to travel with our family for short trips is a big plus!
Ability to transition into more hours in the Fall is a big plus!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Household Assistance
- Be a flexible “right hand” to Mom throughout the day
- Tidy and reset common areas
- Light housekeeping support (not deep cleaning) including things like washing dishes, wiping surfaces, vacuuming/sweeping, etc.
- Assist with general organizing, decluttering, and maintaining systems
- Help keep items in their proper places
- Support household flow and simple daily rhythms
- Assist current family assistant/chef with food prep as requested
- Laundry as needed including running loads, drying, folding, and restocking.
Household Management
- Manage and update the family calendar (appointments, kids’ activities, home services)
- Make phone calls, schedule vendors/repair services, and be present if needed
- Track household needs/supplies and place orders
- Process returns (print labels, package items, UPS drop-offs)
- Run errands (library returns, co-op pickups, bakery/specialty items)
Childcare
- Provide short periods of childcare during Mom’s appointments and other times she needs to refresh.
- Assist with school pickup or transporting children to activities
- Supervise/play with the toddler
- Support family outings (walks, park, errands)
- Reinforce household values and routines
- If it's a good fit, candidate might be asked to assist some with homeschool curriculum lessons with older child.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must have prior experience working with young children, especially toddlers.
- Must have prior experience in a support position such as administrative assistant, personal assistant, household helper, etc.
- Clean driving record + reliable vehicle
- Clean background report
- Comfortable with household tasks and errands
- Clear communicator
- Can receive feedback with grace and ease
- Strong follow-through
- Interested in long-term stability
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
