Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Engineer II / Project Manager to lead engineering and construction projects supporting infrastructure and natural resource development initiatives. This position is responsible for managing multiple projects from planning through execution, supervising engineering staff, reviewing and approving engineering plans, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and project requirements.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with strong civil engineering expertise, project management experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage engineering and construction projects from design through completion.
· Serve as Project Manager for assigned projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
· Prepare, review, and approve Professional Engineer (PE) sealed engineering plans, specifications, and bid documents.
· Provide technical guidance and engineering support for current and future infrastructure and development projects.
· Supervise and mentor junior engineers and engineering technicians.
· Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
· Assist in developing, implementing, and improving engineering policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.
· Prepare technical reports, project documentation, cost estimates, and progress updates.
· Perform field visits and site inspections as required to monitor project progress and resolve engineering issues.
Required Qualifications
· Active Professional Engineer (PE) license issued by a State Licensing Board (required).
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a comparable engineering role or equivalent professional engineering experience.
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
· Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and construction bid documents.
· Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles, construction methods, and project management practices.
· Experience supervising engineering staff or leading technical project teams is preferred.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
