Senior Accountant — Multi-Entity Portfolio

Alpharetta, GA · Full-Time · In-office

About Us

We are a vertically integrated portfolio of healthcare, real estate, and franchise companies headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. Our operating entities span chronic care management and remote patient monitoring, a clinical reference laboratory, regenerative medicine, biologics distribution, radiation oncology, urology, multi-state franchise operations, and a growing real estate development arm.

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to own monthly close, intercompany accounting, and consolidated reporting across the full portfolio. You will report directly to the Managing Partner, partner with outside CPAs and counsel, and shape how our finance function is built as we scale. This is a high-ownership role for an operator, not a process-taker.

Who this role is for: This position is best suited for someone 5–10 years into their accounting career — technically ready to own a complex close process and genuinely excited about growing into a Controller role. If you are a CFO looking to step back, a payroll specialist, or an FP&A professional without hands-on GL and close ownership, this role is not the right fit.

What You’ll Do

Lead monthly and quarterly close across 8–12 operating entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and close-checklist management.
Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated reporting across the holding structure.
Oversee AP/AR, cash forecasting, and bank reconciliations across multiple operating accounts.
Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and lease accounting (ASC 842) across operating and real estate entities.
Coordinate with outside tax CPAs on quarterly estimates, K-1s, and year-end packages.
Prepare financial packages for lenders, investors, and active M&A processes.
Establish documentation and audit-trail standards capable of withstanding lender scrutiny, transactional diligence, and litigation.
Build and refine close processes, chart-of-accounts standardization, and reporting templates as the portfolio grows.

What You’ll Bring

5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity
Full-cycle GL experience with multi-entity close and consolidations
Working command of US GAAP, including accruals, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and fixed assets
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivots, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, structured workbooks)
Clear written and verbal communication suitable for lenders, attorneys, and investors
Proven ability to operate independently, manage a close calendar, and meet hard deadlines
Sound judgment in a fast-moving operator environment where priorities shift
QuickBooks Online is required and non-negotiable. This role requires strong QBO proficiency including running concurrent books across multiple companies in a single login. Candidates without direct QBO experience will not be considered regardless of other qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare accounting exposure (provider revenue cycle, RPM/CCM billing, lab revenue, or DME).
Real estate or partnership accounting (preferred-equity waterfalls, JV structures, construction-in-progress).
Familiarity with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or a comparable mid-market ERP.
M&A or transaction support experience (QoE prep, diligence response, working capital true-ups).
Public accounting foundation (Big 4 or strong regional firm).
CPA license, or active CPA candidate with two sections passed and licensure on track within 12 months.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary of $100,000–$120,000, commensurate with experience and CPA status.
Performance bonus up to 10% of base, tied to close discipline and reporting accuracy.
CPA exam fees and continuing education fully reimbursed.
