Assistant General Manager (AGM)

H&H Hospitality
Location: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
Schedule: Full-Time, Open Availability Required
Pay Schedule: Paid Weekly

POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) partners with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, drive financial performance, develop team members, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This role serves as the second-in-command and is responsible for maintaining operational excellence while fostering a culture aligned with H&H Hospitality's values.

The AGM is expected to lead from the front, coach managers and crew, hold teams accountable, and help deliver outstanding results in sales, labor, food cost, safety, and guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperations Leadership

Assist in managing all daily restaurant operations.
Ensure compliance with company standards, airport regulations, and food safety requirements.
Execute opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness at all times.
Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance needs promptly.

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard team members.
Coach and develop Shift Leaders, Trainers, and Crew Members.
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
Create a culture of accountability, engagement, and growth.
Lead pre-shift meetings and daily communication.

Guest Experience

Champion H&H Hospitality's "Happy to Help" service culture.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
Monitor guest feedback and implement action plans for improvement.
Ensure every guest receives friendly, efficient, and memorable service.

Financial Management

Support achievement of sales, labor, and food cost goals.
Review daily financial reports and operational metrics.
Assist with inventory management and product ordering.
Help identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce waste.
Ensure accurate cash handling and financial controls.

Compliance & Safety

Maintain ServSafe and food safety standards.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and airport regulations.
Conduct safety and sanitation audits.
Ensure proper completion of required operational documentation.

QUALIFICATIONSRequired

3+ years of restaurant management experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Experience managing labor, food cost, and operational performance.
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain an ATL Airport SIDA Badge.
Must pass a federal background check.

Preferred

Multi-unit or high-volume restaurant experience.
Experience with Toast POS.
Experience with Restaurant365 (R365).
ServSafe Manager Certification.
Airport or travel-hospitality experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in fast-paced kitchen and service environments.
Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
