Medical Receptionist / Front Desk

Georgia Endovascular Associates | Atlanta, GA

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour | Full-Time

About the Role

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the face of our practice — the first point of contact for every patient who walks through our doors or calls our office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a warm and professional presence, and genuinely enjoys helping people navigate their healthcare experience.

This position is based at our Atlanta location at 3225 Cumberland Blvd SE, Suite 520, Atlanta, GA 30339.

What You'll Do

Patient Reception & Front Desk Operations

● Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner

● Answer incoming phone calls promptly and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member or department

● Register new patients and update records with accuracy and care

● Distribute required forms to patients and review for completeness before submission

● Process patient payments and provide receipts in accordance with office procedures

Scheduling & Records Management

● Schedule new and follow-up appointments using athenahealth EMR

● Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations

● Answer patient questions regarding appointments, procedures, and practice logistics

Administrative & Operational Support

● Assist the clinical team with administrative tasks as needed

● Manage office supplies and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

● Assist patients in completing necessary forms and paperwork accurately

● Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times

What You Bring

Required:

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Prior experience in a medical receptionist or front desk role

● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills

● Knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology

● Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality

● Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping

● Customer service-oriented mindset with a warm and professional demeanor

Preferred:

● Experience with athenahealth EMR (strongly preferred)

● Familiarity with insurance verification processes

● Background in interventional radiology, vascular, or specialty practice settings

● Bilingual in English and Spanish
