Full Job Description

About Us

The Clarkston Community Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a stronger, more connected community through arts, education, recreation, and community engagement. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Finance & Administrative Coordinator to support our financial and daily office operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys bookkeeping, is highly organized, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records while helping keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Record deposits, invoices, and financial transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
Assist with monthly financial reporting and year-end audit preparation.
Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
Prepare invoices and track customer and grant payments.
Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation.
Work closely with the Executive Director and outside accounting firm to ensure accurate financial records.
Maintain office files and administrative records.
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist visitors as needed.
Order office supplies and support daily office operations.
Assist with other administrative and financial duties as assigned.

Qualifications

2 to 3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration experience preferred.
Required experience with QuickBooks Online.
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general bookkeeping.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Experience working in a nonprofit organization is preferred but not required.
