Job Title: Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician – Clayton Outpatient Clinic – (Outpatient Services) – Jonesboro, GA

Job Code: HCP051/Social Worker, Licensed 2

Shift: Full-Time (40 hours per week on average)

Job Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – (Times May Vary) - Monday through Friday

Base Location: Jonesboro, GA – Clayton Outpatient Clinic

View Point Health proudly provides outpatient treatment to children, adolescents and adults. We promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidence-based psychotherapy and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments on new, existing clients and/or hospital discharges for those experiencing behavioral health disorders (MH, SUD), which may also include IDD co-occurring
Conducts and assists with Crisis Interventions, executing 1013/2013s and collaborating with local hospitals for placement.
Work with clients to develop SMART and recovery-based treatment plans.
Provide short-term individual and group therapy using evidence-based therapies for clients with mental illness
Assist clients in identifying, developing, and sustaining natural support systems.
Provide psychoeducation to clients and families around mental health, substance use, trauma, recovery.
Collaborate with other behavioral health and physical health providers to holistically address client needs.
Complete all required documentation (daily clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans) in an accurate and timely manner (agency standard 24 hrs)
Participate in regular team meetings to collaborate regarding shared clients, build and practice new skills, and stay up to date on agency administrative information.
Participate in clinical supervision to increase competence and professional development.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hour coverage, via phone.
Completes annual training requirements as outlined by agency and/or supervisor.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related approved “helping profession” discipline leading to licensure.
Associate licensure as an LAPC or LMSW required.
One – (1) year of supervised experience in behavioral health.

*(ST-Supervisee Trainee candidates are not eligible for this position). *

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR.
Full licensure as an LPC or LCSW, preferred.
Previous clinical experience working in Community Mental Health Care with SPMI, SUD, IDD and/or Co-Occurring Disorders.
Certifications in one or more Evidenced-Based Practices such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or MI.

Requirements/Competencies:

Must be able to lift 20 pounds,
Requires long periods of sitting/standing,
Must be 21 years of age,
Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.

Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
