Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Licensed Salon Manager/Stylist and lead the way in delivering exceptional hair and beauty services while managing daily salon operations. This energetic role combines creative styling with strong leadership, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and a motivated team. As a key player in our salon, you will oversee staff, maintain high standards of customer service, and drive retail sales—all while fostering a positive and professional atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your management skills while doing what you love in a vibrant, customer-focused setting.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise salon staff, including stylists and support team members, to ensure excellent service delivery and operational efficiency
Manage daily salon operations, including scheduling, shift management, and inventory control to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction
Provide personalized hair styling, cutting, coloring, and treatment services to clients, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism
Oversee retail sales efforts by promoting products, managing merchandising displays, and achieving sales targets through effective upselling techniques
Handle client consultations to understand their needs, recommend suitable services and products, and ensure a positive experience from start to finish
Maintain accurate records of appointments, sales transactions using POS systems, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks
Implement employee training & development programs to enhance team skills, ensure compliance with safety standards, and foster a motivating work environment

Requirements

Valid cosmetology or barbering license in accordance with state or local regulations
Proven experience as a stylist with strong technical skills in cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments
Previous management or supervisory experience within the retail or salon industry is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, scheduling, and cash handling efficiently
Knowledge of POS systems, retail math, merchandising techniques, and operational management practices
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
Basic math skills for pricing calculations, budgeting tasks, and sales analysis
Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette proficiency and organizational skills for multitasking in a fast-paced environment
