Full Job Description

International company headquartered in Troy, MI is looking for an Accountant to join our team! To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience, with general knowledge of accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and financial discrepancies
Maintain compliance with multistate and federal payroll regulations, including applicable tax withholdings, reporting, and filings
Assist with preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Assist with preparation of financial reports and statements
Collaborate with external auditors during audits
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
Other duties as assigned

Requirements

BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
Hands-on experience or knowledge of accounting software
Strong understanding of GAAP
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary is based on experience.
