Full Job Description

Blane Casey Building Contractor, Inc. is looking for an experienced commercial construction estimator to become part of our team! We are looking for an individual that has 7-10 years’ experience in commercial building construction estimating, with a four-year degree in construction management, or similar engineering fields.

Task include;

· Identify the scope of work and perform quantity takeoff from RFQ information for building construction projects.

o Take-offs include, concrete, metal & wood framing, roofing, siding & exterior & interior trims.

· Review available plans and specifications to make sure estimate effort is in compliance.

· Solicit pricing from material vendors and subcontractors.

· Ensure estimates are complete, well organized, and ready for review by the management team.

· Develop prelimary project schedules, when required, to ensure projects can be completed to meet owner requirements and that company resources are used efficiently.

· Develop innovative means and methods for completing projects to increase competitiveness and margins.

· Prepare proposals when necessary, and include information to document the basis of the proposal.

· Maintain base bid documents and organize estimate information.

· Coordinate with the Blane Casey’s operations team on successful bids to provide a thorough transition to the project team.

· A strong understanding of Procore’s bidding tool, Microsoft Excel & take off software’s.

o Update drawings & specifications with issued addenda, sketches, etc.

o Manage bidding tool to ensure proper documentation is relayed to all subcontractors & vendors

· Ability to learn and use new technology to aid in estimating activities.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Seek out new clients and potential bid opportunities for the team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
