Thriving Sparrow Counseling & Wellness

OPPORTUNITY FOR PART-TIME or FULL-TIME IN PERSON or TELEHEALTH THERAPIST

Are you a Culturally competent Therapist with experience working with diverse populations of Medicaid Clients? If you have experience in “Community Support”, “Community or Private Mental Health” or “Clinical Therapy” & seeking to transition into the realm of “Private Practice” while excelling into working independently as well as with a team, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re a faith-based Private Practice looking to add at least 2 Full-time Therapists to our team. These positions will be 100% remote (telehealth) OR Hybird and require a caseload of at least 27-30 Client hours per week to be classified as FT with FT benefits eligibility (Health Insurance, accumulation of vacation/ paid time off and Holidays). This is a W2 position with a pay for service model where you can take on as many Clients as you can manage beyond our minimum of 27 service hours per week. You manage your own schedule and availability.

Bilingual a plus but not required,

Pay ranges from $40.00-85.00 per hour depending on experience and credentials.

Requirements:

Familiarity or knowledge of differences between traditional employment and nuances of private practice roles.

Ability to perform assessments, maintain excellent session documentation & treatment planning according to Client goals/needs. Familiarity with Mental Health Assessments that include Biopsychsocials and IMCANs.

Ability to provide weekly telehealth therapy to Clients of varying ages & needs.

Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling or similar area of study (State Licensure preferred but not required

Great Communication & Experience working with diverse populations of Medicaid Clients.

Private Home Office with appropriate equipment to provide telehealth services and meet documentation expectations; ability to maintain Client confidentiality

Ability to work independently 90% of time, reliability to keeping your schedule, managing caseload & required documentation, attendance/participation in biweekly group and as needed Supervision & attendance/participation in monthly team meetings/ book study,

Ability to provide Malpractice Insurance and other related tasks associated with credentialing, licensure and certifications.

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to join our mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role involves conducting individual, couple and family counseling sessions, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote mental wellness. The Clinical Therapist will utilize evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis to support clients through various challenges. Experience with crisis intervention, medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and telehealth platforms is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Other Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical standards.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
Provide psychotherapy services including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and specialized therapies such as cbt, dbt or play therapy.
Facilitate individual and couples or family therapy sessions tailored for multicultural & diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and those experiencing gender issues , chronic pain/medical issues, marriage/ relationship issues or history of trauma.
Implement risk assessment & crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety.
Maintain accurate medical records and document clinical notes in compliance with HIPAA and insurance regulations.
Collaborate with medical professionals for integrated care approaches.
Engage in case management activities to coordinate care across multiple providers or community resources.

Other Skills

Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), grief counseling, addiction counseling, and play therapy.
Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
Experience working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and geriatric populations.
Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote patient care delivery.
Excellent communication & patient assessment skills combined with case management capabilities.
Knowledge of medical terminology & “necessity” related to behavioral health conditions and treatments.
Experience working within inpatient or outpatient clinical settings; familiarity with special education environments is a plus.
Strong communication skills for effective work practices and group participation.
Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or gender issues counseling with professionalism and empathy.
Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information.
