Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grading Foreman to lead and oversee grading operations on construction sites. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate the grading team, ensure adherence to project specifications, and maintain safety and quality standards. Your leadership will drive efficient execution of earthwork activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong background in construction management and site supervision.

Duties

Lead and supervise grading crews, assigning tasks and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and safety.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to accurately execute grading work according to specifications.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to align grading activities with overall project timelines.
Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
Conduct quality control inspections to verify that grading work meets industry standards, schematics, and contract requirements.
Oversee the use of construction site equipment including the ohmmeter for electrical testing and heavy machinery for earthmoving tasks.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols across the site.
Manage project budgets related to grading operations, tracking costs and optimizing resource allocation.
Review contracts, change orders, and project schedules to adapt workflows as needed for efficiency.
Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, inspections, and progress reports.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in construction site grading or earthwork projects.
Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as Primavera P6, Primavera P3, HeavyBid, ProCore, and Bluebeam.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes.
Hands-on experience with construction site safety standards including OSHA regulations.
Familiarity with project scheduling techniques and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skilled in supervising teams on large-scale projects involving pipeline or heavy civil infrastructure.
Prior experience with contracts administration and managing subcontractor relationships is highly desirable.
