Full Job Description

The Business

We are a Class III medical device manufacturer and market leader in Austin, Texas. Our device saves lives and has made us one of the fastest-growing companies in our space. We are currently around 1,500 employees and actively tripling that number over the next three years. These are not slow-burn roles this is fast-moving growth with full engineering ownership at the centre of it.

The Role

This Process Engineer III sits in our Coating manufacturing area with a heavy controls focus. You will own PLC-controlled processes on the manufacturing floor, drive continuous improvement, lead equipment validations, and play a central role in new product and process implementations. This is a hands-on, floor-based role with real ownership. not a desk job.

What You Will Be Doing

Owning and maintaining PLC-controlled manufacturing processes, evaluating and implementing OEM equipment software parameters
Reviewing and modifying ladder logic and control programs as processes evolve
Working with HMI interfaces to monitor and adjust process control day to day
Leading IQ/OQ/PQ equipment validations for new equipment and processes
Troubleshooting equipment and processes through physical inspection and root cause analysis
Driving continuous improvement to reduce errors and improve yield and cycle times
Partnering with quality on CAPA investigations and audit deliverables
Coordinating Engineering Change Notices for process, material, and equipment changes

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering with 4 to 6 years of experience, or Master's with 2 to 4 years
Experience designing, developing, and implementing PLC, DCS, or SCADA systems
Experience creating and maintaining control logic, function blocks, and HMI interfaces
System integration experience across electrical, mechanical, and software domains
Strong data-driven problem solving - SPC, root cause analysis, CAPA, process capability
Lean manufacturing and process optimization experience
Regulated manufacturing environment experience preferred

Base salary up to $120,000
7% annual bonus
