Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented TREC Licensed Home Inspector to join our team serving Austin, TX, and surrounding cities. In this dynamic role, you will leverage your construction knowledge and inspection expertise to evaluate residential properties, ensuring they meet quality standards and safety regulations. Your keen analysis skills and understanding of construction processes will be essential in providing accurate, comprehensive inspections that help clients make informed decisions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a reputable organization committed to excellence in home inspections.

Duties

Conduct thorough and detailed inspections of residential properties, assessing structural components, systems, and overall condition using industry best practices.
Perform quality control and quality inspection checks throughout the inspection process to ensure accuracy and compliance with state licensing requirements.
Collect detailed data on construction features, materials, and potential issues using standardized forms and digital tools for efficient reporting.
Analyze inspection findings to identify deficiencies or safety concerns related to construction, plumbing, electrical systems, pipelines, and other.
Prepare clear, detailed reports outlining inspection results, including photographs, videos and recommendations for further evaluation.
Collaborate and communicate with clients, and real estate professionals before, during, and after inspections via phone, email, and in person to explain inspection findings and answer technical questions related to construction management and site conditions.
Conduct residential property inspections, often spending multiple hours on-site each day
Maintain accurate records of inspections, including updating reports, files, and internal systems
Manage and track your daily inspection schedule and workload efficiently
Be available for a full-time inspection schedule, typically up to six days per week, with one day off
Coordinate time off in advance while maintaining consistent availability to meet client demand
Must be physically inclined to walk on roofs, crawl in crawlspaces and be able to lift, stand, squat for 12 plus hours a day if needed
Must be comfortable being and talking on camera, and filming on phone

Qualifications

Active TREC Professional Home Inspectors License (Required)
WDI Inspectors License: (Commercial Technician License from TDA) (Preferred, not required)
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Detail-oriented with high standards for quality
Clean, professional, and reliable transportation (truck/SUV preferred) and valid driver’s license
Comfortable working in various environments (attics, crawlspaces, roofs, etc.)
Tech-comfortable (inspection software, mobile phone tools, apps, inspection tools and equipment, etc.)

Preferred (Not Required):

Bilingual (Spanish/English) (Highly Preferred, not required)
Additional certifications (WDI, mold, pool, etc.)
Minimum of two years inspections, construction or a related field experience preferred.
Commercial inspection experience

Pay: $62,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
