Position Summary
Citizen All Day is seeking an experienced and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead the planning, development, and execution of all brand and local marketing initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving guest traffic, increasing brand awareness, supporting new restaurant openings, and developing compelling campaigns across digital and physical channels.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong execution skills and has experience managing marketing programs within the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or consumer-facing industries. They are highly organized, creative, data-driven, and comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, leadership teams, photographers, designers, vendors, and agency partners.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Campaign Management
- Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly marketing plans aligned with company growth objectives.
- Lead the planning and execution of seasonal campaigns, promotional initiatives, product launches, and key business-driving events.
- Create and manage marketing calendars that coordinate campaigns across all locations and channels.
- Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve engagement, traffic, and sales.
Content Strategy & Content Creation
- Own the content strategy across all brand channels, ensuring consistent storytelling and brand messaging.
- Plan, coordinate, and capture high-quality photo and video content for restaurants, menu launches, events, team culture, and guest experiences.
- Build and maintain a content library for ongoing use across digital, print, and in-store marketing materials.
- Develop creative briefs and content plans that support brand objectives and campaign goals.
Social Media Management
- Manage all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
- Create, schedule, publish, and monitor engaging content that drives audience growth and engagement.
- Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, reviews, and guest interactions.
- Track social media performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
Email Marketing & CRM
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, newsletters, promotional communications, and customer retention initiatives.
- Build audience segments and targeted campaigns to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and loyalty.
- Monitor email performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
- Support the development and management of customer loyalty and retention programs.
Brand Management
- Serve as a steward of the Citizen brand, ensuring consistency across all customer touchpoints.
- Manage and organize brand assets including photography, video, logos, templates, menus, signage, and marketing collateral.
- Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all restaurants and marketing materials.
- Partner with operations teams to ensure brand standards are consistently executed in-store.
Creative & Design Collaboration
- Develop creative briefs and oversee the production of marketing assets from concept through completion.
- Review and approve creative materials to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
- Coordinate production timelines and asset delivery for campaigns and restaurant initiatives.
Local Store Marketing & In-Store Activations
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives that increase restaurant traffic and community engagement.
- Plan and coordinate in-store activations, sampling events, partnerships, grand openings, and promotional experiences.
- Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, influencers, and strategic partners.
- Support new restaurant openings with comprehensive launch marketing plans and activation strategies.
Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Manage website content updates and ensure digital assets remain current and optimized.
- Oversee paid and organic digital marketing efforts across multiple platforms.
- Monitor key performance indicators including website traffic, customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and campaign ROI.
- Utilize analytics and customer insights to guide decision-making and improve marketing effectiveness.
What Do We Look For? Required
- 2+ years of marketing experience in a restaurant, hospitality, retail, consumer brand, or multi-unit environment.
- Proven experience managing social media, content creation, email marketing, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience capturing and directing photo and video content for marketing purposes.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and customer acquisition strategies.
- Excellent copywriting, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using performance data to drive decisions.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing systems, and marketing analytics tools.
Preferred
- Experience supporting food & beverage restaurant or retail brands.
- Experience with loyalty programs and customer retention marketing.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, email automation platforms, and CRM systems.
- Experience supporting new store openings and local store marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other creative workflow tools.
