Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Commercial Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our growing Austin team. If you're passionate about designing code-compliant fire sprinkler systems and enjoy collaborating with project managers and field teams, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll independently design commercial and tenant improvement (TI) fire sprinkler systems from concept through permitting while supporting successful project execution. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that values quality, teamwork, and professional growth.

What You'll Do

Design commercial fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes.
Prepare permit drawings, fabrication drawings, hydraulic calculations, material lists, and submittal packages.
Design wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, contractors, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure code-compliant system designs.
Perform field surveys as needed to verify existing conditions.
Revise drawings based on field changes, redlines, and AHJ comments.
Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality design standards.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of commercial fire sprinkler design experience.
Experience designing commercial and tenant improvement (TI) sprinkler systems.
Proficiency with HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or similar fire sprinkler design software.
Working knowledge of NFPA 13, local fire codes, and permitting processes.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

NICET certification preferred.
Experience coordinating with installation teams, project managers, and AHJs.
