Full Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Health & Well-Being Program Specialist is responsible for leading and managing Saturday sports programming while supporting the Health & Well-Being Director in delivering high-quality, safe, and engaging activities for youth. This role focuses on organizing leagues, maintaining positive relationships with parents, and ensuring smooth program operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

· Plan, organize, and execute all Saturday sports leagues and activities

· Provide administrative support related to sports programming (rosters, schedules, communication, etc.)

· Supervise youth participants to ensure a safe and positive environment

· Communicate effectively with parents, addressing questions, concerns, and updates professionally

· Set up, break down, and maintain sports equipment and program spaces

· Enforce rules, expectations, and sportsmanship standards during all activities

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Attend staff meetings and required training sessions

· May be required to drive a shuttle bus or Club transportation (if eligible)

· Support additional Health & Well-Being programming as needed

· Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMIUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Knowledge of multiple sports and basic rules/regulations

· Ability to pass a background check

· Ability to work effectively and professionally with youth ages 5–18

· Willingness to obtain NASO certification (or similar) in various sports

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Associate’s Degree in Kinesiology, Sports Management, or related field

· At least one year of experience working with youth (ages 5–18)

· Valid state driver’s license (if 21 years or older)

· Bilingual (a plus)

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Demonstrates dependability, accountability, and teamwork

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Preferred ability to stand for long periods of time

· Preferred ability to work in various weather conditions—hot, cold, rainy, etc.

· Preferred ability to meet physical demands of working with youth

· Preferred ability to move equipment up to 25 pounds

· Preferred ability to endure periodically noisy environments (in the context of working with youth)

· Preferred ability to have adequate vision and hearing to ensure the safety of Club youth

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
