Denny's - Shift Leader / Unit Aide

Are you a highly skilled and motivated individual looking for an immediate opportunity to take on a leadership role in the food and beverage industry? Do you thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? If so, we have the perfect job for you!

As a Shift Leader, you will have the chance to oversee restaurant activities in the absence of a Manager. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant and upholding our high standards of quality and service. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented and enthusiastic team, learning valuable skills along the way.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Help oversee restaurant when management is not present
Assist with training as needed
Help oversee safety practices during your shift and inform the manager of any safety concerns you observe during your shift.
Complete assigned duties, such as guest check validation and timely drawer changes
Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and presentation of menu items
Complete all required training courses
Fill in for vacant positions when necessary
Embody and promote company values

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Extensive standing during peak hours
Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold
Ability to work some irregular hours
Bending, reaching, and walking
Operating cash register
Carrying trays of food products
Ability to lift up to 20lbs

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS

Good communication skills
Guest-oriented personality
Knowledge of restaurant operations
Good physical condition due to the nature of the job
Basic math skills required
Knowledge of all job codes
Compliance with health regulations regarding food handling
