Full Job Description

GSG Talent Solutions is seeking experienced Investigator IV and Investigator V candidates for a contract opportunity

We are currently prioritizing qualified candidates who are eligible for the Work Wonders Program.

Candidates must reside in the Austin, Texas area and be available to report to the office if requested. Applications will not be accepted from candidates outside Austin and the surrounding areas.

Pay:

Investigator IV: $44.62/hour (Weekly Pay)
Investigator V: $50.70/hour (Weekly Pay)

Applicants will be considered for both Investigator IV and Investigator V positions. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

The Investigator IV/V supports the Agency by conducting preliminary reviews of complaints, evaluating allegations, gathering and reviewing documentation, and determining the appropriate course of action. This position requires strong investigative, analytical, and communication skills while ensuring compliance with Texas laws, agency policies, and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties

Conduct preliminary reviews of complaints to evaluate completeness, credibility, and jurisdiction.
Contact reporting parties and other stakeholders to obtain, clarify, and request additional documentation or information.
Review incident reports, personnel records, investigative summaries, supporting exhibits, and other documentation to identify missing information and potential policy violations.
Assess allegations and available information to determine the appropriate disposition while documenting findings and rationale.
Coordinate referrals with internal and external stakeholders when appropriate.
Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure timely processing of assigned workload.
Ensure compliance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable state laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience conducting investigations and complaint reviews.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
Ability to analyze information, make sound decisions, and manage a high-volume workload.
Ability to successfully pass a DPS Criminal Background Check.
Preferred experience investigating allegations involving misconduct, abuse, fraud, criminal violations, or other regulatory matters.
Preferred experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred experience using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SmartSheet, or similar case management systems.
