Content and Community Manager

Center for Nonprofit Success

Position Summary

The Content and Community Manager serves as the primary relationship manager for current, new, and prospective members of the Center for Nonprofit Success. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience through proactive communication, technical support, data management, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-service oriented, technologically proficient, and comfortable working across multiple digital platforms including CRM systems, learning management systems (LMS), membership databases, and AI-enabled tools. The Membership Manager will play a key role in supporting member engagement, retention, onboarding, and training while helping ensure the organization’s technology ecosystem operates effectively for both staff and members.

Key Responsibilities

Content + Community Execution

Execute content publishing and updates across digital platforms.
Support community engagement initiatives and moderation activities.
Assist with campaign execution and member outreach efforts.

Membership Engagement & Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for current, prospective, and new members.
Manage member onboarding and orientation processes.
Respond promptly and professionally to member questions via phone, email, and online platforms.
Build strong relationships with members to support retention and engagement.
Assist prospective members in understanding membership benefits, programs, and services.
Support member renewals and outreach campaigns.

CRM & Database Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records within the organization’s CRM and database systems.
Monitor membership activity, renewals, and engagement metrics.
Generate reports and dashboards related to membership trends, participation, and retention.
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and confidentiality across all systems.
Coordinate data imports, exports, and routine system maintenance.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration

Manage and support the organization’s LMS platform, including course enrollment, troubleshooting, and user support.
Assist with uploading and organizing training materials, webinars, and educational content.
Support members with login issues, navigation, and course completion tracking.
Collaborate with staff to improve the online learning experience.

Technology & AI Platform Support

Develop a working understanding of the organization’s technology platforms and integrations.
Support members and staff in navigating digital tools and online systems.
Assist with implementation and use of AI-powered tools and member-facing technologies.
Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
Help identify opportunities to improve workflows and member experiences through technology and automation.

Communication & Collaboration

Coordinate membership communications including newsletters, announcements, and engagement campaigns.
Collaborate with program, marketing, and operations staff to ensure consistent member support.
Document processes, workflows, and technology procedures.
Participate in organizational events, trainings, and member programs as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
3+ years of experience in membership management, customer service, nonprofit operations, or related roles.
Experience working with CRM systems, databases, and online platforms required.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) strongly preferred.
Comfort learning and supporting AI-enabled technologies and digital tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms.

Preferred Skills

Experience in a nonprofit association or membership-based organization.
Knowledge of membership engagement and retention strategies.
Experience with data reporting and analytics.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Adaptability and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and AI tools.

Work Environment

Collaborative, mission-driven nonprofit environment.
Hybrid or remote work flexibility may be available based on organizational needs.
Occasional evening or event participation may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:

$75,000+ DOE

3% 401k match, Health Insurance monthly stipend,18 paid holidays plus generous PTO.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
