Full Job Description

Post-PT Personal Trainer → Medical Exercise Specialist

Elite Medical Exercise isn't a typical gym, and this isn't a typical training role.

We work exclusively with adults — mostly older adults — who want to stay strong, independent, and capable for the long run: traveling, playing with grandkids, gardening, getting off the floor without thinking twice. Many of our clients come to us post-rehab, managing a chronic condition, or simply returning to movement after time away.

If your idea of a great training session is pushing someone toward a PR or a competition, this isn't the right fit.

If it's watching a 71-year-old client walk without a handrail for the first time in years, this might be exactly the right fit.

We're looking for a Post-PT Personal Trainer who wants to grow into a Medical Exercise Specialist — someone who's curious about the "why" behind movement, not just the "what."

What You'll Do

Learn and apply Medical Exercise principles — a method developed by PT Dr. Michael Jones as a bridge between post-rehab care and traditional fitness — to help clients safely work with and around physical limitations.
Blend Medical Exercise with FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) principles to support joint mobility and long-term function.
Build individualized programs based on each client's history, goals, and range of motion.
Deliver warm, attentive coaching that meets clients exactly where they are.
Pursue required certifications (we cover the cost) as part of your growth into a Specialist role.
Build genuine relationships with clients and guide them toward the services that best support their goals.

What We're Looking For

Background in personal training, kinesiology, or a related field.
Genuine interest in working with an older adult population and post-rehab clients — this is not an athletic-performance training role.
A hunger to learn: our best trainers are curious about anatomy, biomechanics, and the medical side of exercise, and are motivated to pursue certifications.
Warm, patient communication style and a natural relationship-builder.
Team-first mindset with a good sense of humor.
