TITLE: Complex Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

REPORTS TO: Complex Food & Beverage Manager / General Manager

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

The Complex Assistant Food & Beverage Manager assists in the daily leadership and operation of all Food & Beverage outlets, banquets, catering, room service, mini-bar, and specialty venues. This position supports guest satisfaction, financial performance, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and team development while serving as a key leader within the department.

POSITION CLASSIFICATION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Assist with the daily operation of all Food & Beverage outlets, banquets, catering, room service, mini-bar, and specialty venues.

· Support scheduling, staffing assignments, labor controls, and productivity management.

· Supervise Food & Beverage associates and provide coaching, training, and development.

· Conduct daily inspections of outlets, banquet spaces, bars, and service areas to ensure quality standards are maintained. Room need to be ready for sales team to show new clients.

· Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance management processes.

· Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to guest concerns and service recovery situations.

· Ensure compliance with Health Department regulations, food safety standards, TABC requirements, and company policies.

· Assist with inventory management, purchasing controls, and maintaining appropriate PAR levels.

· Support banquet and catering operations to ensure successful event execution.

· Assist with menu rollouts, promotions, special events, and revenue-generating initiatives.

· Monitor cash handling procedures and assist with payroll administration and reporting.

· Maintain accurate operational records, inventories, and departmental reports.

· Coordinate with Sales, Front Office, Culinary, and other departments to support guest satisfaction and operational goals.

· Ensure all department assets, equipment, and facilities are maintained and operating properly.

· Maintain a visible presence in all Food & Beverage areas during peak business periods. Act on behalf of the Food & Beverage Manager during absences.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager, General Manager, or ownership group.

· Banquet Operation: Cordinate with Sales and engineering proper set-up and execution of event based on BEO’s contractual guideline

· Kitchen Communication: maintain open communication with kitchen of any last-minute addition and changes in banquet event, provide head count to kitchen and ensure main contact for each group is welcome.

· Ordering Bar Supplies for Cambria & Even

· Inventory: Assist F&B Manager taking inventories and reporting in monthly basis.

· Fintech Monthly Processing: Print and code all Invoices and report to accounting

· Ensure all OFFLINE tickets are settle on Choice and Opera

· Tips Reporting: report payroll tips reporting to F&B Manger

· Market Place: Monitor ordering and presentation daily

· Room Service: Ensure Room Service operation, deliver, supplies, inventory and charges are posted.

· Outlet Hour of Operation: Ensure all outlets are open according with posted website information

· Mini-Bar: be involved in the implementation of this revnue center. Ordering, service, inventory and ensure smooth operation is smooth and efficient.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred.

· Minimum 2-4 years of Food & Beverage supervisory or management experience.

· Hotel, restaurant, banquet, or multi-outlet experience preferred.

· Knowledge of food safety standards, alcohol service regulations, and labor laws.

· Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and guest service skills.

· Proficiency with POS systems and hospitality software preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Standing and walking for extended periods throughout Food & Beverage outlets and event spaces.

· Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and maneuvering supplies and equipment.

· Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.

· Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Ability to move throughout banquet spaces, kitchens, bars, restaurants, and outdoor event venues.

ENVIRONMENT

· Interior and exterior hotel environments including restaurants, bars, banquet facilities, and catering events.

· Exposure to food preparation areas, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen equipment.

· Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions during outdoor events.

· Fast-paced hospitality environment requiring multi-tasking and attention to detail.
