A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I'm a tech and eCommerce founder here in Austin, and I’ve built one of the fastest-growing companies in America. I have a few businesses going at once. I'm also a dad, and that's the part I actually want to protect.

THE SETUP

I already have an executive assistant, and they're staying. They handle the business side: work calendar, meetings, email, work travel.

You'd be the other half of that. They run my work life, you run my personal life, and the two of you stay in sync. So you're never guessing what's on my calendar, and you're never carrying all of this by yourself. It's a team of two, and you own your side of it.

YOUR SIDE

Family - School runs and activity pickups, homework time, dinners and bedtimes, sick days, school breaks, summer plans, birthdays, and the calendar that holds it all together.
Home - Groceries and meals, laundry, vendors and repairs, deliveries, home projects, and generally keeping the place running well.
Me - Personal appointments, personal travel and packing, reservations, gifts, returns, and the handful of small things each week that I'd rather not think about.

WHY THIS IS A GOOD JOB

You'll have real budget, real authority, and no one hovering over you. I'm direct, I decide fast, and then I get out of your way. The pay is at the top of the Austin market on purpose. The days are varied, the people are kind, and the work genuinely matters to my family. And you'll have a teammate in my EA, which is rare in a role like this.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

You've done this for a family or an executive before, and your references will say so happily.
You're early, and you follow through.
You notice things. The milk is low, the school form is due Friday, the guy never came back to fix the gate.
You're warm with kids and steady when the day goes sideways.
You're discreet. You'll see and hear personal things, and they stay with you.
You'd rather be handed a goal than a checklist.
You solve problems without being asked, and before they become problems.
Austin traffic doesn't rattle you.

A FEW HONEST NOTES

No two weeks look exactly the same here, so this suits someone who likes variety more than routine. Some days are quiet and some are full. I'll tell you what I need plainly, and I'd like you to do the same with me.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 3 years running a household or supporting an executive, with references I can call
Valid license, clean driving record, reliable insured car
Legal to work in the US, and comfortable with a background check
CPR and first aid certified, or willing to get certified before your start date
Comfortable around pets
Able to travel with me on work events / vacations.
Comfortable with texting, shared calendars, and simple apps

PAY AND SCHEDULE

$25 to $45 per hour, based on experience. Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate, plus a card for household spending.
Typically Monday through Friday, roughly 8am to 6pm, about 45 hours a week, with some flexibility on my travel days, this however may be more or may be less (you’re always on call)
Based in Austin, with errands around town.
Start date: as soon as I find the right person.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
