Full Job Description

Finance Director Austin, TX

Horizon Equity Group Dealer Services is looking for a qualified Finance Director for a Franchise Dealership located in Austin, TX. Our Dealer client offers great benefits and pay along with ongoing training and support. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate integrity, transparency, professionalism and teamwork while working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage and generate income by overseeing team on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis while ensuring target revenues are met or exceeded.
Review market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs and volume potential and develop sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the finance department.
Analyze sales history to formulate new policies designed to promote sales.
Work with GM to set objectives for achieving sales and gross profits
Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.
Maintain knowledge of state regulations regarding finance and the Fair Credit Reporting Act in order to train and update F&I staff of any changes in regulations and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Assure all deals are structured in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines and are booked out in a timely fashion.
Maintain good lender relations, while generating new lenders and evaluating new lender programs.
Adhere to a standard of professional ethics and be able to communicate respectfully across and between all dealership departments and customers, while also maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
Perform credit interviews, prepare credit applications when needed and also analyze credit report and be able to recognize a conventional deal and turns over accordingly.
Maintain current inventory log and make recommendations to management.
Review department DOC daily and review with staff areas of improvement.
Train administrative personnel on assembling funding packages.
Design and place advertising for special finance.
Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements and also recommend new expenditures and appropriations.
Schedule and attend sales meetings with Finance Department and Sales Department.
Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

Must have proven and verifiable work experience as a Finance Director in Dealerships with a high-level track record of meeting and exceeding F&I product sales and goals.
Must be well-qualified to understand all program and rate options offered by lenders and maintain working knowledge of all Automotive lending criteria.
Excellent leadership abilities as well as verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
Possess and demonstrate personal and professional integrity.
Must be self-motivated, goal oriented and possess stamina to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and work ethic.
Strong phone and computer skills, specifically MS Office + Internet.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
High school diploma or the equivalent, College degree or experience preferred.
All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen.
