Fitness Studio General Manager: Chris Protein Personal Training LLCAbout Us

At Chris Protein Personal Training, we don’t just train bodies, we transform lives. Based in Oak Hill, Austin TX, at 5716 W Highway 290, just off the 290/Mopac intersection, we’re a medium-sized studio that delivers a premium training experience with a personal, friendly, and genuine vibe.

Chris started as an independent personal trainer in 2013 with a mission to empower individuals to grow and transform their lives through fitness by helping them make lasting changes to their health, confidence, and wellbeing. What began as a one-person operation has since grown into a full-service studio with over 15 passionate staff members serving 250+ clients in the Austin area. What sets us apart is our commitment to delivering a personalized, high-touch experience that makes every client feel seen, supported, and capable of real, lasting change.

We offer 1-on-1 and 2-on-1 personal training programs for mostly working professionals who want to build strength, lose weight, overcome aches, pains, and fatigue, and finally feel at home in their bodies. We provide more than just workouts: we offer a full coaching program and incredible customer service to give clients the best fitness experience available.

About This Opportunity

We’re hiring a full time Fitness Studio General Manager who will report directly to the owner, Chris. We’re looking to fill this role within the next 4-6 weeks, and we want someone who’s in it for the long haul.

This role is 40 hours a week and includes a mix of client support, management, studio operations, and a small amount of personal training. The biggest priorities are keeping clients happy, supporting the team, staying organized, handling scheduling and communication, and making sure the studio runs smoothly day to day.

You’ll also train clients, so we’re looking for someone who has both management ability and personal training experience. The vibe here is professional and focused, but still relaxed and fun. We’re a friendly, inclusive team doing impactful work we’re genuinely proud of.

Required

Available to work 40 hours a week.
Very strong people skills, customer service, and communication.
Very strong organization, scheduling, and time management skills.
1+ year of management experience.
Personal training experience in a 1-on-1 or small group setting.
Personal Training Certification and CPR/AED Certification.

Preferred

Fitness studio, gym, wellness, hospitality, or service-business management experience.
Experience with WellnessLiving, Trainerize, Google Drive, basic AI tools, spreadsheets, or similar systems.

Role Hours and Responsibilities

This is a 40 hour/week role. The role includes about 10-15 hours/week training clients and the remaining 25-30 hours focused on general manager responsibilities like client coordination, team support, scheduling, operations, and studio organization.

Typical shifts would be split between mornings around 8am–12pm Monday through Friday, and evenings around 5pm–7pm or around 6pm–9pm, and a Saturday mid-morning shift around 9am–12pm. Exact schedule may vary based on client needs, trainer coverage, and business needs.

A day in the life might look like training a client at 8am, then responding to client messages and helping with scheduling, running a staff meeting, and inspecting the studio for cleanliness. Then taking an afternoon break, returning for another training session and then spending an hour or two on planning a client appreciation event.

You’ll Be Responsible For

Client coordination, onboarding support, scheduling help, follow-ups, and customer service.
Responding to client and prospect texts, emails, phone calls, and social media inquiries.
Helping resolve client concerns, document feedback, support retention, and coordinate with trainers as needed to support.
Supporting staff hiring and onboarding, running team and 1-1 meetings, upholding staff standards and expectations, and performance tracking.
Keeping the studio organized, safe, clean, and professional through regular inspections, light organization, and coordination with cleaners, vendors, handymen, and repair companies.

Pay and Perks
