Full Job Description

Seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support the legal and transactional execution of the company's industrial real estate investment platform.

This is an important role within transaction team, working closely with the Managing Director, Real Estate Counsel, along with the Acquisitions, Asset Management, Finance/Accounting teams, and outside counsel to coordinate and execute commercial real estate transactions from due diligence through closing and post-closing and help support ongoing operations and leasing efforts.

The successful candidate will bring strong commercial real estate experience, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, clear and effective written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced investment environment.

This is an opportunity for a paralegal who wants to be deeply involved in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and become an integral part of an established real estate investment platform.

What You Will Own

Transaction Support

Provide comprehensive paralegal support for commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financings, and related issues.
Support transactions from LOI through closing and post-closing activities.
Coordinate the preparation, review, execution, and organization of transaction documents.
Maintain transaction checklists, timelines, closing schedules, and status reports to ensure critical deadlines and deliverables are met.
Coordinate with internal team members, outside counsel, lenders, title companies, surveyors, tenants, brokers, and other transaction parties.
Assist with the formation of new entities and preparation of associated authority documents, filing the appropriate applications and documentation.
Assist with post-closing organization, recording, document distribution, and maintenance of transaction files.

Commercial Real Estate Documentation

Assist with the preparation, review, organization, and execution of a broad range of commercial real estate documents, including:

Purchase and sale agreements and amendments
Letters of intent and transaction summaries
Deeds and other conveyance documents and recordable instruments
Leases, amendments, assignments, and subleases
Easements, declarations, restrictive covenants, and access agreements
Loan and financing documents, including but not limited to mortgages and deeds of trusts, security agreements and fixtures filings
UCC filings
Estoppels, tenant notices, and affidavits
Entity formation, qualification, consents, resolutions, and organizational documents
Recordable instruments
Closing certificates and related transaction documents

Due Diligence, Title & Survey

Coordinate and organize legal due diligence for commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
Review and organize title commitments, title policies, exception documents, surveys, zoning materials, leases, organizational documents, and other due diligence materials.
Assist with identifying title and survey issues and coordinate the resolution of outstanding items with the Managing Director – Real Estate Counsel, title companies, surveyors, and outside counsel.
Track title objections, title requirements, survey matters, curative items, and other closing conditions.
Maintain organized due diligence files and ensure required documents and deliverables are received and appropriately documented.
Assist in ensuring that transaction requirements are satisfied prior to closing.

Closing & Post-Closing

Prepare and maintain detailed closing checklists and closing binders.
Coordinate execution and delivery of closing documents.
Work with title companies and outside counsel to facilitate recording and closing requirements.
Coordinate recording of deeds, mortgages, memoranda, easements, UCC filings, and other recordable documents and the receipt of all final, recorded (as applicable) documents and post-closing deliverables.
Maintain complete and accurate electronic transaction files and institutional records.
Assist with updating internal databases and systems to reflect completed transactions.

Internal & External Coordination

Serve as a highly organized point of coordination between legal, acquisitions, asset management, accounting, and other internal teams.
Communicate professionally and effectively with outside counsel, title companies, lenders, tenants, counterparties, and other third parties.
Follow up proactively on outstanding transaction items and escalate issues appropriately.
Help create efficient, repeatable processes that improve transaction execution and document management.
Support the development and maintenance of institutional knowledge and standardized transaction procedures.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial real estate paralegal who is comfortable working in a sophisticated transactional environment and takes ownership of getting things done accurately, efficiently, and on time.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of meaningful commercial real estate paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm, real estate investment company, private equity firm, title company, or other sophisticated real estate environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and/or financing transactions.
Strong understanding of commercial real estate transaction processes, including due diligence, title, survey, closing, recording, and post-closing requirements.
Experience reviewing and organizing title commitments, title policies, surveys, leases, and other real estate documents.
Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple transactions, competing priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience drafting and revising documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, executives, internal teams, and external advisors.
Strong judgment, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent education and experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience with industrial commercial real estate.
Experience supporting institutional real estate investors, private equity firms, REITs, or similar investment platforms.
Experience with real estate title and survey review and resolution of title issues.

Pay: $66,974.69 - $80,657.69 per year
