Accounting Manager

Everas Community Services, Inc. has been providing community-based services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 40 years. Our extensive experience includes services for people across a spectrum of abilities and specialized needs including people who are deaf-blind, deaf, or blind, people with intensive medical and behavioral support needs, and people with autism spectrum disorder. Summary:

As a leader in our Finance Department, Everas Accounting Manager is responsible to oversee all day-to-day financial operations including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and compliance. Duties include preparing and processing accounts payable vouchers, developing agency contract/proposal budget/fiscal details, and assisting in the day-to-day financial functions of the office. Based in Somerset, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a strong ability to prioritize under strict timelines and competing priorities.

Accounting Manager Duties include but are not limited to:

Supervising department’s accounting functions and staff
Oversee and manages the development and implementation of billing/collection systems
Oversee and manage payroll system
Assist and manage proposal/contract fiscal development/reporting
Assist in preparation for the annual fiscal audits
Develop and monitor agency financial forecasting and cash flow

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business with seven years of experience in accounting
Ability to pass all background checks
Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and excellent knowledge in accounting and database systems.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail skills and ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and cooperative teamwork skills
