Full Job Description

Job Title: Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer
Department: Technical Operations
Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

About The Job
In short – we are seeking a developer who can assist in setting up our Shopping Cart and can write unit and feature specs, communicate with JSON APIs, use git for version control, and more.

This is NOT a remote job offer. We are looking for an IN-HOUSE developer in our Fort Lauderdale headquarters data center facility.

The developer must have experience working with Ruby on Rails, mainly using Rspec, Capybara, Selenium, and FactoryBot. In addition to creating standard unit tests, we would like to ensure that the developer can also write tests that use external APIs and roll back changes upon completion of each test.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience with Ruby on Proficiency in front-end development technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
Strong database design skills capable of modeling complex business processes
Experience with unit tests and automated testing tools
Firm understanding of software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, debugging, and complexity analysis
Past work on open source projects or have working solutions in your GitHub account

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The developer will be responsible for developing UI components for a top-class user experience
Design, build and maintain efficient Ruby code
Integrate with back-end databases: Postgres, DynamoDB, and MySQL
Build UX components for front-end applications in Javascript, HTML, and CSS
Identify and address performance bottlenecks and bugs in business logic
Maintain code quality and test automation
Collaborate with product managers to define precise requirements, software deliverables, and milestones
Work closely with UI designers to enhance our user experience
