Full Job Description

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Prepare all menu items prior to and during meal service as needed. This includes any and all prep work for the day.

- Handle receiving, proper storage and inventory of all produce, meats, fish, dairy, dry goods, chemicals, etc…

- Perform daily and scheduled cleaning of all kitchen areas including food storage, equipment, floors, and tools, in accordance with company guidelines and local health regulations.

- Fully comply with all health department and food code regulations

- Assist in dish station, as needed, washing, restocking, and organizing.

- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.

- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotation stock.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Successful completion of serve safe food handlers certificate, and allergen awareness.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items (boxes, crates, buckets, dishes, tubs, etc…)
Previous restaurant experience highly desired
Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
Strong oral and written communication skills required
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to read menus, recipes, safety documents, and other work-related documents
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
