Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Intake Coordinator to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient intake process. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help facilitate seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while supporting the operational excellence of our medical practice.

EMR: KANTIME

Responsibilities

Greet patients and clients warmly, establishing a positive first impression and guiding them through the intake process
Collect, verify, and update patient information using electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software
Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals in accordance with healthcare policies
Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering strictly to health regulation policies and privacy standards
Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as data entry, document management, and insurance verification
Communicate effectively via phone and client correspondence to answer inquiries, provide appointment reminders, and relay important information
Support the medical team by managing documentation related to health insurance claims, billing processes, and compliance requirements

Qualifications

Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health regulation policies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse populations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining accurate documentation
Experience with dental or medical office procedures is a plus
Knowledge of health insurance processes and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Ability to handle phone communication efficiently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
