Full Job Description

We are a growing, patient-centered dental practice committed to providing exceptional care while creating a positive, supportive workplace for our team. We are seeking an experienced Dental Human Resources Manager who is passionate about people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can help recruit, develop, and retain top dental talent.

The Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and staff development. This individual will work closely with leadership to foster a positive culture while ensuring compliance with all employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

Lead full-cycle recruiting for dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, business assistants, and administrative staff.
Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies using Indeed, social media, networking, and other sourcing methods.
Coordinate interviews, candidate communication, reference checks, and onboarding.
Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Administer employee benefits, PTO, leave requests, and workers' compensation claims.
Assist with payroll processing and employee record management.
Support managers with employee coaching, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans.
Develop and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Coordinate new hire orientation and ongoing training initiatives.
Monitor employee engagement and implement retention strategies.
Plan team-building activities, employee recognition programs, and office events.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
Assist leadership with strategic workforce planning and organizational growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3+ years of Human Resources experience required.
Dental or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations.
Experience with recruiting and talent acquisition.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll software.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
