Full Job Description

What We Offer:

Base rate is $8.00 - $10.00 depending on experience. This is a tipped position. Our Bartenders make $30 - $40 an hour on average after tips

Job responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

Greeting guests with a genuine, upbeat, friendly, and unscripted welcome
All Bartenders are required to work at least ONE Lunch Shift per week, Non negotiable.
Cultivating regular guests and repeat business and being the ambassador for the brand
Consistently preparing beverages according to standard recipes while abiding by all control systems
Preparing drink garnishes, fresh squeezed juices and bulk drink syrups and recipes
Successfully completing pour tests
Prioritizing and organizing drink orders, making them quickly and accurately
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar
Monitoring for safe alcohol consumption, safe limits, liability & comply w/ all legal & company requirements for alcohol service
Taking beverage and food orders and entering them quickly and accurately into the POS
Offering incremental items like beverages, sides, extras, dessert, etc. with every order taken
Anticipating, identifying and fulfilling guest needs and clarifying special orders
Processing credit card and cash transactions quickly and accurately
Working with other staff members and having a customer first mindset
Staying calm under pressure and able to think on your feet if obstacles arise
Completing all opening, running and closing duties quickly and accurately
Performing cleaning tasks and help set up and breakdown for each shift
Learning and consistently adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures
Completing POS closing procedures bar checkouts

Qualifications:

3+ years of bartending experience in craft cocktails, dive bars or fine dining
Food Handlers, TABC and Seller-Server Certifications
Excellent sales and customer service skills
Excellent communication skills
Professional appearance (No gauges, No tattoos from the neck up)
Ability to be teachable, coachable, and to take constructive feedback
Gets along well with others and has positive personality
Multitasking and time management skills/sense of urgency
Dresses for success and is well groomed
Has integrity, does the right thing when no one is looking
Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 lbs
Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Professional and friendly, even in tough situations
Fluent in English in both written and spoken
Fluent in Spanish is a plus but not all required
