The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who go on to pursue our mission at MSK and around the globe.

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We’re hiring an Office Coordinator to support our clinical teams and help deliver seamless, patient-centered care in our Basking Ridge location.

Our Office Coordinators are an essential part of our clinical teams and often the first point of contact for our patients. In this role, you’ll help keep busy clinical practices running smoothly while supporting physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and patients throughout the day.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in healthcare administration while making a meaningful impact on the patient experience.

Role Overview:

Answer assigned phone lines promptly and professionally, directing calls appropriately and prioritizing effectively
Manage communication channels for the clinical team, ensuring messages are prioritized, routed appropriately, and addressed in a timely manner.
Coordinate appointments, tests, consultations, treatments, and surgeries based on clinical priority, providing clear instructions to patients
Prepare various documents, including memos, correspondence, reports, and presentations, adhering to mandated formats and readability standards
Handle authorizations and reimbursements for physician travel and meetings, maintaining licensures and memberships for attending physicians

Key Qualifications:

Experience working directly with customers or patients in healthcare, hospitality, retail, or other service-focused environments
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively and inclusively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience working in EPIC is a plus

Additional Information:

Location: MSK Basking Ridge, 136 Mountain View Boulevard, Basking Ridge, NJ
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, hybrid schedule after training, based on departmental needs
Training: 3 weeks of classroom training in Manhattan at the beginning of employment
