Join our dynamic team as a Seamstress / Tailor and bring your passion for fashion and garment construction to life! In this vital role, you will craft, alter, and repair clothing items with precision and care, ensuring each piece meets high-quality standards. Your expertise will help customers look and feel their best, while contributing to a vibrant retail environment that celebrates creativity and craftsmanship. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in sewing and garment design within a lively fashion retail setting.

Responsibilities

Measure customers accurately to determine tailoring or alteration needs
Operate sewing machines efficiently to construct, modify, or repair garments
Follow detailed patterns and specifications to ensure proper fit and finish
Assist customers with fitting adjustments and provide expert advice on garment alterations
Maintain a clean, organized workspace with all sewing tools and equipment in top condition
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and uphold quality standards
Keep detailed records of alterations performed for each customer

Requirements

Proven experience in sewing, garment construction, or tailoring within a fashion retail environment
Proficiency with sewing machines and other tailoring tools
Strong understanding of fabric types, garment fitting, and sewing techniques
Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments accurately
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Knowledge of fashion trends and retail operations is a plus
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
