Full Job Description

Corporate HR/Office Assistant

The Group NYC is a rapidly growing restaurant group, based in NYC. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and responsible seasonal HR/Office Assistant (August - December). If you have an interest in pursuing Human Resources or operations in the Restaurant industry as a career, we welcome you to apply! Entry-level candidates are also welcome to apply!

General Responsibilities

The HR/Office Assistant undertakes a variety of office support tasks and works diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results. The HR/Office Assistant will thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook
Technical and apps savvy is important
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Must have considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages
Demonstrates positive characteristics which inspire other team members to meet and exceed standards
Professional personal presentation
Communicates information effectively and efficiently
Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, if the needs of the business and position dictate
Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintains professionalism when working under stress
Ability to utilize traditional software programs such as Gmail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and any additional systems as needed; Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
Participates in community events and ensures corporate social responsibility goals of The Group are met
Maintains knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies
Highly organized and efficient
Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by the Director of HR and Senior Level Leadership

Essential Functions:

Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests
Compiling and maintaining paper, digital, and electronic records
Processing employee onboarding and assisting with the documentation of employee compensation and benefits
Supporting accounting, operations, and HR-related programs including training programs, workshops, and seminars
Coordinating logistics including shipping, meetings, events, new hire orientations
Writing and submitting reports on accounting, operations, and HR activities
