Full Job Description

*Must have clean DMV driving record*

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Installer to join our team. As an HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems in residential properties.

Responsibilities:

Install new heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems in attics and roofs, and in hot climate areas.
Maintain and repair existing systems
Conduct regular inspections of systems to ensure they are functioning properly
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with HVAC systems
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems
Weld and braze pipes as necessary
Use hand and power tools to install ductwork and other components
Drive company vehicle to job sites
Develop scope of work and approach for each property; assign tasks to assistant; ensure work is completed within allotted hours
Guide and coach assistant installer
Ensure work performed meets quality installation and building code requirements
Explain operation, maintenance, and warranty to customer
Update database with installation information
Meet and adhere to all safety requirements

Skills:

Mechanical knowledge and experience with HVAC systems
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team; with minimal supervision
Strong oral and written communication skills

Requirements:

One year demonstrated experience performing HVAC replacement/installations and diagnostic services
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of customer service experience
EPA certification required
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Pass background and drug test

Preferences:

Multilingual
Sheet metal work experience
Certified by one or more of the following organizations: North American Technician Excellence, Building Performance Institute, Inc., Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, Community College or Trade School
