Legal Secretary

Location: Beaumont, TX 77702

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team in Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff, ensuring efficient operation of the legal office. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in legal terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
Maintain and organize legal files and case documents.
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle client inquiries professionally.
Assist with the preparation of legal pleadings, discovery documents, and trial materials.
Coordinate with court personnel, clients, and other parties as needed.
Perform data entry and maintain case management systems.
Ensure confidentiality and security of all legal documents and information.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional legal or administrative training preferred.
Proven experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law office.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal management software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
