Objective:

Harry’s Key Service, Inc. is looking for an experienced operations manager with a proven leadership track record to step into this role.

We are looking for a strong leader who can wear many hats and have integrity and drive. An (OM) that demonstrates respect for our employees, customers and our brand is essential.

This is a new position, and as such supervision and training will be directly overseen by the owners. Development of this position will be a key component of this role; by working with managers and key employees over time the Operations Manager (OM) will become immersed in the different aspects of the business.

Job Summary:

The role of Operations Manager (OM) at Harry’s Key Service, Inc. (a.k.a. Harry’s Locksmith) is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor including field services, dispatch and warehouse personnel. This position is responsible for overall productivity, serves as a company representative to both retail and commercial customers, and upholds the quality of the brand and reputation of the company. The OM oversees the safety and well-being of company employees, safeguards the assets of the company, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities may include interviewing, selection and hiring, training new and existing employees, planning, assigning and directing work, employee’s performance appraisals, addressing employee performance and corrective action plans, and motivating employees. Hiring and team management performed by others in the company will coordinate with the OM. The OM works closely with other managers and key employees across the board to develop and implement policies, budgets, and processes to further the goals and growth of the company.

Essential Functions:

Supervision of all field crews (including subcontractors), ensuring that projects are on-time and complete, adhering to the installation schedule, work plan, and estimated budgets
Developing and documenting “Best Practices” for all internal and external processes
Strong leadership with focus on actively developing employees to their full potential
Responsible for performance management of crew, coaching and developing as necessary, and handling crew disputes promptly
Visiting projects on a regular basis, interfacing with leads, field service crews, and customers, monitoring the progress and quality of the work being done in the field
An understanding of budgets, pricing and inventory, and collaborates with staff on these elements
Responsible for on-going development and training initiatives
Partnering with owners to develop and revise field procedures as necessary, and ensuring staff adheres to installation policies and procedures
Works with crews to ensure that paperwork and project closeout is completed timely and accurately
Overseeing purchase and assignment of equipment
Managing the control, condition, and security of building locations as well as product inventory
Overseeing the fleet management and maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent communication skills
Positive management and leadership style that empowers others to want to do great things
Exhibit strong leadership skills; experience successfully supervising and directing teams
Proficient in building and handy with tools. Able to read blueprints and “build” drawings
Excellent organization and time management skills
Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to learn new software quickly
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects amid changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and produce outstanding results
Effective customer service and conflict resolution skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Promoting and maintaining safety in all Harry’s facilities, field activities and job sites

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required
(5) years + of relatable experience
Must have a valid WA driver's license and reliable transportation

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment as well as company retail store(s) and various storage areas (both on and offsite). Moderate physical activity is required. Some travel to project sites and other offsite business activities are likely. Noise levels onsite are generally moderate.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
