Multnomah Athletic Club is more than Portland’s most legendary hub of sports and socializing. It’s like a small city unto itself. Where else can you find four restaurants, three pools, a climbing gym, state-of-the-art studios and fitness suite, a complex of racquet sport courts, massage offerings, a boutique, plus a grand ballroom and variety of events spaces all in one place? The Role

The Multnomah Athletic Club is seeking a Manager on Duty (MOD). This position is responsible for overseeing operations during all open club hours and acts on behalf of the general manager and Board of Trustees in enforcing club rules and matters of policy. This position provides excellent service while assisting members, guests and staff as necessary with a variety of tasks that include but not limited to club emergencies and security functions.

What You'll Do

Represent the general manager and Board of Directors in matters of house rules and policy enforcement on a day-to-day basis
Oversee club operations during early, evening and weekend hours.
Respond to emergency situations and implements emergency response procedures,
Administer first aid and requests medical services as necessary.
Perform basic security functions: patrols, investigations and monitor traffic and crowd control.
Provide information and assistance to members, guests and staff in emergency and non-emergency situations.
Assist members, guests and staff with complaints and inquiries and refers them to appropriate staff or department as necessary.
Oversees incident and hazard reports as necessary.
Enforce all club safety policies and procedures.
Comply with all Club safety policies and procedures, demonstrating safe work practices.
Identify and report unsafe or hazardous work conditions as well as workplace injuries and illness.
Assist staff with breaks or duties as necessary.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
