SUMMARY:
We are looking for a hands-on Content Creator to own and elevate our digital content across multiple channels. This role is ideal for a highly capable and technically proficient visual storyteller who can manage an in-house studio, shoot polished product photography, produce short- and long-form video, and create content that performs across digital and physical channels. The Content Creator role is expected to contribute to creative ideation and concept development in addition to execution.
Experience or deep interest in the knife, outdoor, EDC, tactical, tools, gear, or enthusiast product categories is highly valuable.
This is not a “social media only” role. It is a full-stack production role for someone who can plan, shoot, edit, organize, and deliver content that supports launches, campaigns, retail sell-in, e-commerce merchandising, social growth, and brand storytelling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following –
In-House Studio and Asset Library Ownership
- Own the day-to-day operation of the in-house studio, including camera, lighting, audio, backdrops, props, surfaces, storage, and production workflows.
- Develop repeatable studio setups for product photography, lifestyle imagery, tabletop video, talking-head content, product demos, and social-first content.
- Create efficient workflows for shot lists, file naming, asset storage, editing, versioning, delivery, and archiving.
- Help establish and maintain consistent visual standards for product photography and video.
- Own and maintain internal asset library.
Product Photography & Go-To-Market Assets
- Produce high-quality product photography for e-commerce channels, retailer assets, email campaigns, paid media, social content, presentations, and sales support.
- Support go-to-market campaigns by producing launch assets for new products, seasonal campaigns, promotions, collaborations, and key retailer moments.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, sales, e-commerce, and customer service teams to ensure assets support both brand storytelling and commercial needs.
Video Production
- Plan, shoot, and edit video content ranging from quick-turn social clips to polished brand and product storytelling. Pre-production responsibilities include scripting, developing storyboards and shot lists.
- Produce short-form content for channels such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Produce longer-form content for channels such as YouTube, product education pages, retailer support, sales presentations, launch campaigns, and brand storytelling.
- Create product demos, feature walkthroughs, how-to content, comparison videos, founder/designer stories, behind-the-scenes content, event recaps, and campaign content.
External Production & Post-Production Management
- Build and maintain a trusted network of freelance and agency partners who can support overflow needs, including freelance editors, motion designers, retouchers, photographers, videographers, sound mixers, and production partners.
- Oversee outsourced post-production workflows, including video edits, color correction, sound cleanup, motion graphics, captions, retouching, etc.
- In collaboration with Marketing Manager, manage out-of-house photo and video shoots, including pre-production planning, creative direction, location coordination, talent/product needs, shot lists, schedules, and on-set priorities.
Planning & Collaboration
- Participate in creative ideation and concept development with marketing team and across departments.
- Collaborate with sales and e-commerce teams to understand what content helps reduce friction, answer common buyer questions, and improve conversion.
- Partner with the marketing team to identify opportunities from product launches, trends, customer questions, retail moments, events, collaborations, and user-generated content.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- 3+ years of experience creating photo and video content for brands, products, agencies, publishers, retailers, or creator-led channels.
- Strong understanding of what performs on digital channels, including hooks, pacing, thumbnails, captions, format, aspect ratio, platform behavior, and audience expectations.
- Strong hands-on photography and video production skills, including camera operation, lighting, composition, audio basics, editing, and exporting for multiple formats.
- Experience shooting physical products, ideally in categories such as knives, outdoor gear, tools, EDC, sporting goods, apparel, accessories, consumer goods, or lifestyle products.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, and After Effects, or Davinci Resolve and Fusion. Equivalent tools may be considered.
- Comfortable working in a lean team where one person may act as producer, shooter, and editor. Be an all-around operator.
- Ability to manage multiple shoots, deadlines, file deliveries, edits, and stakeholder requests without losing organization.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross functionally with sales, product, e-commerce and leadership teams.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel up to 20% is required for this position, sometimes over weekends. Ability to travel via commercial aircraft required. Possible travel could include two to three trips annually to trade shows and other consumer events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
