Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our After Hours Clinic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver urgent and primary care services in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment outside regular office hours. The ideal candidate will possess diverse clinical expertise, excellent patient assessment skills, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive urgent care and primary care services to patients of all ages during after-hours shifts.
Conduct thorough physical examinations, assess patient conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Manage acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic disease exacerbations with evidence-based interventions.
Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertions, and wound care while maintaining sterile technique.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively for documentation, order entry, and clinical decision support.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and follow-up when necessary.
Triage incoming patients efficiently to prioritize urgent cases and ensure timely treatment delivery.
Educate patients on health management strategies, medication administration, and preventive care measures.

Qualifications

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active certification in applicable state(s).
Demonstrated experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or hospital-based practice settings.
Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks; telehealth experience is a plus.
Strong clinical assessment skills with knowledge of vital signs, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Ability to perform procedures including suturing, venipuncture, catheterization, and sterile processing.
Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10), and documentation standards aligned with NCQA or HIPAA regulations.
Experience working in diverse environments such as hospital medicine, critical care units (ICU), or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
