Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily store activities, managing staff, and ensuring the store meets its sales and operational goals. The Store Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a positive shopping environment, optimizing inventory control, and implementing effective merchandising strategies to drive business growth.

Duties

Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions, and shift management.
Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, inventory control, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining optimal pricing and promotional activities.
Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing training & development programs.
Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Implement marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and attract new customers.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage payroll processing, and oversee administrative tasks related to store management.
Monitor store performance metrics using retail math principles; analyze sales data to inform business decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Experience

Proven management experience in retail or grocery stores with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong background in retail sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and POS systems.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and employee supervision.
Excellent communication skills with proficiency in negotiation, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence.
Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, purchasing, and cash handling.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
Familiarity with retail math concepts such as pricing strategies and sales analysis is preferred.
Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in a retail setting is highly desirable.
