Reporting directly to the Design Supervisor, this position will be responsible to work in conjunction with the project Engineer to produce P&ID’s and the detailed drawings required for each individual project.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

Drafting P&IDs under the direction of engineering
Detailing construction drawings from 3D models provided by project designers
Follow industry and established Company engineering/design standards
Work closely with project designers to ensure accuracy of scope
Prioritizing project workload to ensure drawing dates are met
Accountability for adhering to the project budget for design hours
Helping to develop and maintain company design standards and associated documentation

Education, Skills and Experience

Your education and experience include:

Bachelor’s Degree, associate’s degree, Diploma or Technical School Training in ME, EE, Computer Aided Design Technology or related field
Proficient in Autocad, CadWorx, and Vault
Strong creative mechanical and structural design ability
Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational and planning skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
2+ years drafting P&IDs and understanding of line types and symbology.
2+ years detailing piping, structural or vessel drawings
Knowledge reciprocating natural gas compression packages, oil & gas equipment or modular assemblies including piping and structural components.
Experience with SolidWorks
