Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricators to join our successful international company start-up in Council Bluffs, IA. If you are an experienced and qualified individual, we have a wonderful opportunity for you. In this role, we will provide you with a wonderful challenge of the fabrication, welding, and assembling of metal components for mobile aviation refueling equipment shipped to the local US and global markets. You will accomplish this through detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts, adhering to strict safety standards and industry regulations.

Considered applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to:

Responsibilities

Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
Perform welding using various methods including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) on all materials including Stainless Steel, Aluminum and mild steel in compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
S/S pipe welding experience is desired.
Measure and mark metal materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication.
Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding/fabrication trades.
Assemble fabricated components following schematics and assembly instructions while adhering to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards.
Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials or products.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and pipe welding.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
Skilled in using measuring instruments like calipers, tape measure, and shop math for precise fabrication tasks.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
