Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Automotive General Manager to lead our dealership operations with energy, expertise, and a passion for excellence in Import brand. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in automotive sales, dealership management, and customer relationship building. As the driving force behind our sales team, you will oversee daily operations, develop strategic initiatives, and ensure the achievement of sales targets while fostering a high-performance culture. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer service and maximize profitability through innovative sales strategies and effective inventory management. The GM must be able to desk deals and become engage with every sale as a working GM.

Duties

Lead and manage all dealership activities, including sales, service, and administrative functions, to ensure operational excellence.
Be able to Desk deals as a working GM
Drive high-end passenger car sales by developing and executing compelling sales strategies that attract new clients and retain existing customers.
Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent lead generation through outbound calls, cold calling, and B2B sales efforts.
Manage the automotive inventory control process to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and support retail math accuracy.
Cultivate strong customer relationships through personalized service, upselling, deal closing, and effective negotiation to meet or exceed sales targets.
Implement and utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track client interactions, follow-ups, and sales performance metrics.
Lead the sales team by providing coaching on phone etiquette, communication skills, public speaking, and effective deal negotiation techniques.
Develop strategic partnerships through outside sales initiatives and B2B engagements to expand dealership reach.
Ensure compliance with automotive financing options and promote available financing solutions to facilitate customer purchases.
Foster a motivating environment that emphasizes organizational skills, teamwork, and continuous improvement in retail math and inventory management.

Skills

Extensive automotive industry sales experience with a proven track record in passenger car sales and dealership management.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a high-performing sales team; adept at motivating staff to achieve goals.
Excellent negotiation abilities with a focus on high-end sales, deal closing, and upselling techniques.
Proficiency in CRM software and automotive financing options; capable of leveraging technology for maximum efficiency.
Exceptional communication skills including public speaking, client communication, phone etiquette, and B2B engagement.
Skilled in outbound sales strategies such as cold calling and developing a robust sales pipeline.
Deep understanding of inventory management principles, retail math calculations, organizational skills, and retail sales processes.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are considered an asset for expanding customer outreach.
Demonstrated ability to achieve or surpass sales targets consistently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and retail operations management.
