Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven 3PL Startup Sales & Operations Manager specializing in Cold & Dry Storage to lead the development and growth of our new 3PL company. This is a start-up hands-on role where you will drive new business acquisition, build strong client relationships, and oversee operational setup for cold and dry storage facilities. Your expertise in supply chain management and new customer acquisition will be essential to establishing our presence in the competitive third-party logistics (3PL) industry. This position offers a dynamic environment where your proactive approach and strategic thinking will directly impact our expansion efforts and customer success. Warehousing operations and facilities are already in place; your focus will be on developing client services, fees and ultimately customer acquisition.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end sales process for new 3PL cold and dry storage clients, including lead generation, prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and contract closing.
Develop tailored logistics solutions that meet client needs, leveraging knowledge of freight forwarding logistics and trade compliance regulations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective account management, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Coordinate the setup of storage operations, including transportation planning, dispatching, carrier sales, and integration with current warehouse management.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize pricing strategies, freight brokerage services, and shipping logistics to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Monitor industry trends in logistics sales, freight forwarding logistics and carrier relationships to identify new opportunities for growth.

Skills

Extensive experience in supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics company operations.
Proven success in B2B sales within the freight forwarding or 3PL sectors with a focus on cold & dry storage solutions.
Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse customer base.
Proficiency in CRM software for lead generation, customer tracking, and account management.
Knowledge of freight brokerage operations, shipping logistics and trade compliance standards.
Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on contracts, pricing strategies, and transportation sales negotiations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite for data entry, reporting, dispatching
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in dispatching, data entry accuracy, and customer service excellence.
