Full Job Description

Description:

At Happy Egg, a lot has to happen behind the scenes before our eggs make it from the farm to the shelf. That means shipments need to match, invoices need to reconcile, inventory needs to move where it should, and the details need to be right.

We’re looking for a part-time Operations Clerk who enjoys keeping things organized, accurate, and on track. If you have an eye for detail, like working with numbers and data, and get a little satisfaction from making sure everything lines up just right, you may fit right in.

This role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting operations, inventory tracking, traceability, and basic accounting processes while working with a team that believes work can be both meaningful and a little more Happy.

You’re detail-oriented and eager to learn, with an interest in or experience with invoice reconciliation and inventory tracking.
You take pride in providing exceptionally accurate data in a timely manner to help keep the operations team moving.
You enjoy solving little puzzles, catching details others might miss, and making sure the numbers don’t get scrambled.

Role Scope

The Operations Clerk (Part-Time) will:

Reconcile supplier invoices and shipments.
Track the movement of inventory and operations performance metrics.
Ensure smooth communication between production, storage, distribution, and accounting.
Support traceability documentation.
Take on additional duties and responsibilities as performance and capacity are assessed.

Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data quality
Comfortable sitting and working at a computer for extended periods
Ability to perform repetitive data entry and reconciliation tasks while maintaining accuracy
Strong organization and time-management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Comfortable working with numbers, invoices, inventory records, and operational data
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and follow them through to resolution
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with teammates across multiple departments
Willingness and ability to learn new systems, processes, and basic accounting concepts
Dependable, accountable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
A sharp eye for spotting when something looks a little scrambled
